Bluegrass and Old-time Rhythm Exercise in D – #1

This is a lesson for improving your rhythm playing working out of ‘D’ position. It’s a lesson I’m calling ‘Bluegrass and Old-time Rhythm Exercise in D #1.’ We’ll using a very common chord progression and learning 3 arrangements for it. The first time through will have a lot of basic fills and runs that we will build upon for the following arrangements. The 2nd and 3rd time through we’ll become more expressive and start to embellish those runs and bass walks. Be able to play rhythm like this can not only add a lot of energy to your playing but be a ton of fun to play! As usual, this style of a lesson will lend it’s self to a Doc Watson or Norman Blake way of playing. Go ahead and give it a listen!

This lesson includes.

– PDF Tabs (all three arrangements)
– Over 40 Minutes of up-close video
– 4 Audio Practice Tracks at 140, 160, 180, and 200 BPM
– Broken up into 9 separate videos so you can move around easier
