More Pretty Girls Than One – Beginning and Intermediate

In this week’s featured lesson I’ve written up two arrangements for the Old-time and Bluegrass favorite ‘More Pretty Girls Than One’ in the key of C. The first time through we’ll do a Carter-style solo that plays the melody right on the head. The second time through we’ll begin to get more expressive and have some fun with a Doc Watson style solo. There will be lots of consecutive eighth notes, hammer-ons, and pull-offs. This tune is a ‘must-know’ at the jam so be sure you’ve got your solo ready when it’s your turn to take a break! Have a listen below and get pickin’!
