Billy in the Lowground – Beginner and Intermediate Arrangements

This is a lesson for the classic Old-Time fiddle tune “Billy in The Lowground” in the key of C. I’ve created two arrangements for this lesson. The first time through is a basic/beginner arrangement that plays the melody ‘right-on-the-head.’ The second time through we’ll get more expressive with the melody by adding consecutive eighth notes, hammer-ons, and pull-offs. This is a must-know for any Bluegrass jam circle and a fun melody to learn to play! Go ahead and give it a listen below!

This lesson includes:

– PDF Tabs and Notation (Both Arrangements)
– Over 40 Minutes total of up-close video
– 4 speeds of practice tracks at 140, 160, 180, and 200 BPM (With and without lead)
– Slow Walk Through clips of each arrangement
