June Apple – Two Variations

This guitar lesson is for the fiddle tune ‘June Apple’ in the key of A. We’ll be working out of G position and learning a Doc Watson-style solo. I’ve transcribed the first variation from his album ‘Good Deal.’ The second time through moves up the fretboard and plays the melody out of a ‘closed position.’ This is a great lesson for learning to play the melody in two different position on the fretboard.
