Down in The Coal Mine – D Minor Study Piece

This lesson is an original composition written by a good friend of mine called “Down in the Coal Mine” in the key of D. This is a great lesson for those of you looking to get that Bluegrass guitar sound working out of the ‘D’ position. We’ll be using lots of D minor pentatonic licks that will give our solo ‘attitude.’ This is an intermediate to advanced lesson with lots of syncopation, hammer-ons, pull-offs, and slides. Go ahead and give it a listen and start working on your ‘D’ position moves/licks!

This lesson includes.

– PDF Tabs
– Over 35 Minutes of up-close video
– 3 Audio Backing Tracks at 140, 160, and 180 BPM
– Broken up into 5 clips so you can track your progress
– Live Practice track played at a slow tempo
