Here's what folks had to say about Jam Camp!
I had a great time at Jam Camp 2025. Ryan and Hayes are both talented and generous teachers who really fostered community among the campers. The Red Clover Ranch is tucked into a beautiful hidden valley, such a great spot for gatherings like this. The food was literally spectacular. I hope this happens again.
I learned a lot during this camp! There were formal large jams with instruction and leaders. Lots of spontaneous smaller jams. Great classes by Ryan and Hays. I have so much to work on now--not just learning arrangements. I'll be working on technique, ear training, figuring out how to simplify arrangements, and start creating my own. I started the weekend having memorized some of Ryan's arrangements, (and able to play them haltingly or smoothly, but always only exactly as he wrote them) and left with a new way to practice, learn to create my own simple arrangements, hear and figure out a melody, and join in with the rhythm in a jam. Topped off by an excellent concert by Ryan and Hays. Food and lodging were fantastic.
It was a wonderful event. Music was amazing, people wonderful, instructors amazing, and food 5 star.
Had a great time, learned lots of guitar techniques. I enjoyed meeting and playing with the instructors and the group. The food was outstanding.
The Jam Camp hosted by Ryan Kimm, with the invaluable support of his talented assistant Hayes Griffin, was truly outstanding. It couldn’t have been better planned or more smoothly organized. Both Ryan and Hayes were generous with their time—always encouraging, approachable, and genuinely great people.
The schedule offered a perfect balance of structured classes, guided jams, and plenty of free time to play with fellow campers. I was lucky enough to jam with Ryan one afternoon and push him right to the edge on some old bluegrass tunes, while Hayes seemed tireless—joining us all three evenings and playing late into the night with any song we threw at him. (Why anyone went to bed is beyond me!)
The other campers were equally wonderful—fun to meet and make music with—and the food, prepared by a master chef, was absolutely top notch. Honestly, the whole experience exceeded my expectations in every way.
