Soldier’s Joy – Beginner and Intermediate Arrangements
This week’s featured lesson is for the Old-Time tune “Soldier’s Joy” in the key of D. We’ll be working out of D position and learning two arrangements/variations for the piece. The first arrangement is very simple and filled with mainly quarter notes. It’s a great arrangement for a ‘beginner flatpicker.’ The second time through we’ll turn those quarter notes into consecutive eighth notes to bring the melody to life. This will still sit at the beginner to intermediate level and will be a great arrangement to build up to. Go ahead and give this arrangement a listen. This lesson has been Soundslice for easy learning. 🙂
This lesson includes:
– Downloadable/Printable PDF Tabs, Notation, and GP6 file (Both Arrangements)
– Over 35 Minutes of up-close video
– 4 Speeds of Practice Tracks at 140, 160, 180, and 200 BPM (With and without lead)
– Broken up into 6 separate videos so you can move around easier
– Slow Walk-Through video clips
