David Rawlings Style Solo and Jam – Advanced Lesson
In this lesson, we’ll be taking an in-depth look at the styles and sounds of David Rawlings. I’ve created an original composition that involves two intermediate to advanced solos to help us uncover how to achieve his sound. We’ll be taking a look at various techniques such as cross-picking, chord shapes across the fretboard, harmonics, and ‘slippery licks’ so we can better understand what’s going on within his playing. He’s certainly a very innovative player and sometimes does things ‘outside the box’ so it’ll be nice to add some of these textures and sounds to your playing. Go ahead and give it a listen below. 🙂
