Brown’s Ferry Blues – Doc Watson Style – Two Arrangements

This lesson is for the tune ‘Brown’s Ferry Blues’ in the key of G. This is an intermediate to advanced lesson that involves learning to play in the style of Doc Watson. I’ve transcribed his solo for the album ‘A Life’s Work – A Retrospective.’  So, we’ll learn a rather straight-ahead solo from Doc the first time through.  The second time through I’ll add more cross-picking and get a bit more expressive with the melody. My goal was to add some flavor to the solo all while playing in the style of Doc Watson. Enjoy!

This lesson comes with –

  • Three speeds of audio tracks at 160, 180, and 200 BPM (with and without lead)
