2 Bluegrass Solos in G #3 – Intermediate to Advanced
In this week’s featured lesson we’ll be taking a look at an original composition I’ve entitled ‘2 Bluegrass Solos in G #3.’ This is a very common chord progression in bluegrass music and it will all start on the IV chord, so C chord for the key of G. I’ve written up two arrangements for this lesson, the first of which will be played primarily in the lower register. The second time through we’ll play nearly the same melody up an octave in the higher strings. You can use many of these in other bluegrass tunes with similar chord progressions. Go ahead and give it a listen below!
